The Garde are finally reunited, but do they have what it takes to win the war against the Mogadorians?
John Smith—Number Four—thought that things would change once the Garde found each other. They would stop running. They would fight the Mogadorians. And they would win.
But he was wrong. After facing off with the Mogadorian ruler and almost being annihilated, the Garde know they are drastically unprepared and hopelessly outgunned. Now they’re hiding out in Nine’s Chicago penthouse, trying to figure out their next move.
The six of them are powerful, but they’re not strong enough yet to take on an entire army—even with the return of an old ally. To defeat their enemy, the Garde must master their Legacies and learn to work together as a team. More importantly, they’ll have to discover the truth about the Elders and their plan for the Loric survivors.
And when the Garde receive a sign from Number Five—a crop circle in the shape of a Loric symbol—they know they are so close to being reunited. But could it be a trap? Time is running out, and the only thing they know for certain is that they have to get to Five before it’s too late.
The Garde may have lost battles, but they will not lose this war.
Lorien will rise again
I have really been enjoying this series and am now anxiously awaiting the next book. The Fall of Five was a fun and action packed book with many twists and turns. I loved being back into this Lorien/Alien world. The characters are always fun and entertaining and there was some good suspenseful moments and also some shocking twists! If you are a fan of the series, I would definitely tell you to get your hands on this book :)

In this book, we get the perspectives of Marina, John, and Sam. A lot happened in this installment of the series. We are introduced and reunited with so many people. We also to meet Five, the last of the Garde, and I really didn't know what to think of him in the beginning. He was kind of weird and stand offish and I suppose that's understandable since he was meeting the other Garde for the first time. But long story short, I didn't really like him all that much. I think Nine is probably my favorite of all the Garde members. He's fun and so energetic, even though he's a bit all over the place. Overall, all the characters were pretty good :) I really like seeing them interact and being in their heads.

The the I didn't like about the book the most was the romances. For some reason I just can't get into them. I feel like the people in the relationships are into the wrong people. The pairings are odd to me. I don't feel the connection between the characters at all, in the romance aspect. If that part of the books were better I would have given this story a higher rating because I really enjoyed it all, except the romance. This is definitely a fun series for me and I can't wait to check out the next installment.
